Ian Wason - IDM Chief Executive Officer
Ian Wason After graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from Bristol University in the United Kingdom, Ian spent three years working in the Financial Services department of Deloitte & Touche in London where he qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant.

In 2003, Ian moved to South Africa to work in the NGO sector helping individuals set up and manage businesses. Following this year Ian founded the IDM group in April 2004. Ian holds several directorships which include the online financial services comparison site JustMoney.co.za.

  Richard Pembroke - IDM Chairman
Richard Pembroke Graduating from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom, Richard has co-founded several successful companies including London based Datanet Marketing Services Ltd that was sold in March 2000 to FTSE listed Eckoh Technologies. In 2001 he was a founding member and CEO of Rivals Digital Media (RDM), a digital publishing business with offices in London and Cape Town that was acquired by AIM listed UK Betting Plc in December 2003.

Richard founded the private equity firm Polly Capital in February 2004 and runs the South African arm of the business from its Cape Town office. Through Polly Capital, Richard invested in the IDM Group in late 2004, and remains heavily involved at board level.

  Luke Hirst - Debt Busters Managing Director
Luke Hirst After graduating from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Science (Hons), Luke worked for 9 years in the London banking sector for Morgan Stanley, State Street and SWIFT, concentrating on business development with the UK & European Investment Managers.

Luke moved to Cape Town in 2004, to develop a number of new business initiatives, before joining the IDM group as co-founder and Managing Director of the Debtbusters in 2007.

  Gary Light - Operations Director
Gary Light With over 12 years banking experience, Gary started off his career as a clerk in the banking industry in July 1995. In 2000 and 2001 he was part of various Interbank Project Groups and dealt extensively with the SARB (SA Reserve Bank) Directive Projects. He joined the Card Industry in December 2001 and operationally managed the conversion of various card systems. In 2006 and 2007 Gary was Chairman of the ABCI (Association of Bank Card Issuers) Chargeback sub-committee. In November 2008 Gary joined the IDM group as Head of Operations.
